Call Of Duty Mobile Game Announced For Android Devices

Activision is partnering PUBG Mobile hitmaker Tencent to create Call of Duty Mobile. It's a free-to-play first-person shooter for Android and iOS much like Call of Duty games on console and PC. You can pre-register to download the game when it's out on Google Play and the App Store. Trailers for the game suggest frantic multiplayer action in the vein of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, teasing a battle royale mode to be added post launch. Given the success of Fortnite and PUBG Mobile, it's no surprise that Activision wants a slice of the action.
Activision Blizzard has announced a new mobile Call of Duty franchise title, Call of Duty: Mobile, for western players. In collaboration with Tencent, the publisher announced that Call of Duty: Mobile will come to North America, South America, Europe, and other countries.
Call of Duty: Mobile will be free-to-play on Android and iOS devices. Activision Blizzard said it'll pull together "maps, modes, weapons, and characters" from around the Call of Duty franchise—Black Ops and Modern Warfare included. Tencent's Timi studio will develop the game, which features "multiplayer game modes" that put players in "head-to-head competitive action" against players worldwide. Registration is open dow at the Call of Duty: Mobile website. A public beta is expected "this summer in select regions." Those regions, however, haven't been revealed by Activision Blizzard. An official launch date hasn't been announced either—but that's expected "in the coming months," the developer said.

In a video posted to YouTube alongside the press release, Activision Blizzard cuts to a clip of multiple airplanes in what may be a teaser for a battle royale mode. Battle royale gameplay for Call of Duty: Mobile remains unconfirmed, however—and it's possible it means something else entirely. But given the success of battle royale titles, specifically with Call of Duty: Black Ops 4's Blackout mode, it would make sense for the developer to include such a feature.
Activision Blizzard said that players can expect the kind of first-person combat that the Call of Duty franchise is known for. Team Deathmatch, Search and Destroy, and Free-For-All modes have all been confirmed for the mobile title. Maps like Nuketown, Crash, and Hijacked will be playable in-game, too. Players will be tasked with unlocked classic Call of Dutycharacters, weapons, and gear while playing the game.
